Most weddings are photographed in much the same way. The dress, the kiss, the speeches. A sequence of moments everyone expects to see. Yet when couples return to their photographs years later, the images that stay with them are rarely the ones that were planned. They are the quiet, unguarded moments. A glance across the room, the way the light settles in the evening, a burst of laughter that passed almost unnoticed at the time. After more than three decades working as a fashion and commercial photographer, I have come to understand that the difference between simply recording a wedding and truly capturing it lies in judgement. Knowing where to look, when to wait, and which moments are worth preserving. That perspective now shapes the way I approach wedding photography across Preston, Lancashire and throughout the UK. I work calmly and unobtrusively, allowing the day to unfold naturally while I observe the small details and atmosphere that give each wedding its character. The result is a collection of photographs that do more than document the day. They allow you to return to it and feel it again, long after the celebration itself has passed.
